Getting started with Google Cloud Storage
To complete the steps below, you need a Google Cloud account with access to Google Cloud Storage.
Step 1: Create a role with required permissions
- Go to Google Cloud Console → IAM → Roles
- Click + CREATE ROLE
- Name the role (e.g., "Monosnap Access")
- Add the following permissions:
resourcemanager.projects.getresourcemanager.projects.liststorage.managedFolders.getstorage.managedFolders.liststorage.objects.getstorage.objects.list
- Click CREATE
Step 2: Grant access to a user
- Go to Google Cloud Console → IAM
- Click + GRANT ACCESS
- In "New principals", enter the required email
- Select the role you created in Step 1
- Click SAVE
How to connect Google Cloud Storage to Monosnap
- Open Monosnap
- Navigate to:
- macOS: Preferences → Account → Google Cloud Storage
- Windows: Settings → Accounts → Add Service → Google Cloud Storage
- Click Authorize and log in with your Gmail account
- Select the project and bucket
⚠️ Don't forget to create and configure your bucket so that it appears in the list.
